Bristol Awards

Hotel Plaza San Francisco is highly acclaimed by the experts for its quality, professionalism, informed staff, kindness and, above all, its excellent service. That is why it is not surprising that our Hotel has been highly awarded and honored with the highest ratings and distinctions in different categories and competencies, both nationally and internationally.

National awards

• Ours is the only hotel awarded three gold medals in the Chilean Gastronomy Association, ACHIGA, Contest in the following categories: Gastronomy (1997), Chilean Cuisine (1997), and Most Complete Menu (1998).

• 1998 Award for “Excellence in Service,” granted by the Chilean Gastronomical Analysts’ Association in recognition of Alejandro Farias and his staff as representing the ideal attitude and work efforts on behalf of our clients.

• In 1999, the Bristol Restaurant was named the best “Traditional Restaurant” by Lobby magazine.

International awards

• “Champion 2002” as overall winner (4 out of the 5 categories evaluated): Best Restaurant, Best Menu, Best Service and Best Wine List selected by a panel of 20 experts gathered by the Wiken magazine of El Mercurio.This award was highlighted in the edition published on June 20, 2002.

• Gold Medal award in the 2000 Alto Sham competition for the Bristol Restaurant’s expert chefs.

• The Bristol is the only Chilean restaurant distinguished by the prestigious Fodor’s travel guide in the United States.

• Plaza San Francisco is the only hotel in the country selected for the “Gold List 2002” listing of Conde Nast Traveler, the most important tourism magazine in the United States.
